If comedy is down your alley, then this one is certainly for you. If not, well, I am pretty sure that we can convert you!
As we have previously mentioned, the comedy scene is alive and doing very well in Cape Town. The scene is currently exploding with new and up and coming comedians as well as the the familiar faces making appearances every night at one or more venues around the city. Whatever your flavour is, I’m pretty sure we can find something for you! Most bills have three or more comedians taking to the stage to show off their materials, and trust me, most of them are downright hilarious.
And now, we have a show with a difference! The One Man Comedy Show Extravaganza will be kicking off a series of shows in July that will have one act a night. This will mean that you can catch one of your favourite comedians for a full show instead of the usual 15 or so minute slot!
The Extravaganza will be taking place at Ukhambabeerworx at the Palms in Woodstock and will be kicking off from Friday the 20th of July 2018 to the 7th of September 2018 with shows scheduled to start at 20:00.
We visited Ukhambabeerworx for their regular show a few weeks back and loved the intamacy of the venue. It is a craft beer brewery, so you are sure not to go thirsty with the beers being sold from the tap. You can also buy some great traditional food at a really good price! So make sure you come hungry.
The lineup for the upcoming weeks include comedians from Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Polokwane, and the Eastern Cape so you're absolutely spoilt for choice.
