If you haven't already heard about Clink, you are really missing out! Clink is a brand new app that you can download onto your phone, that allows you to visit some of Cape Town's buzziest venues, and have the first drink on the house!
You heard right!
You can get one drink for free EVERY SINGLE DAY.
We caught up with the guy behind this genius idea and find out a little bit more about him. Seeing as the World Cup is in full swing, we thought we would see what his World Cup preferences were... In a bite-sized chunk.
Q: So, who is your Favourite team?
A: The mighty Pharaohs of Egypt. I naturally want to support an African team and I love Egypt and the Egyptian people. I have travelled there a number of times and have completely fallen in love with the vibe of Cairo.
Q: How would you watch the World Cup?
A: Ideally I’d be in Russia (or I’d like a time machine back to World Cup 2010 to watch it right here) but I will happily settle for watching it at cool venues in Cape Town with good friends and a free drink thanks to Clink!
Q: What’s your best World Cup memory?
A: Opening day 2010 was incredible. I watched the opening Bafana Bafana vs Mexico game at the Grand Parade fan park and everything from the build up to that moment when Tshabalala hit that scorcher was out of this world.
After that game my brother and I took a surreal walk down Long Street and the fan walk to the new stadium to watch the next match live.
It was an insane day.
