It's that time of the year where it really gets cold but that doesn't mean our lives have to get any less funky. That's where Drizzled Winter Music & Food Festival comes in. Inaugurated in 2018, Drizzled is the sister festival to Sizzled Summer Music and Food Festival. Attracting both international and local crowds, Drizzled is the place to be this winter.
The event will be taking place at Mason's Press in Woodstock on Sunday 28 July 2019. Drizzled's primary aim is to bring together those whose penchant is music and food alike, festival goers get to indulge in amazing gourmet street food and get down to a plethora of music genres featuring SA’s freshest underground hip hop, house and electronic music artists.
This year they have a massive plan and it is to change the game as well as the status quo forever with Women's Month coming up Drizzled is celebrating womanhood with an exclusive line up of all female artistes from singers, bands to DJs. This makes sense as the festival will be taking place on the eve of Women's Month. So beyond merely being an event, it is a campaign that will resonate on a global scale with the hope of an increase in female representation not only at Drizzled but at every major festival, event and the music industry in general.
The festival will consist of two stages, a main stage as well as an outdoor stage and not to worry Drizzled will be pulling all the stops to make sure you're warm! Food will be sold couretsy of of Tacos Locos, 58' More Bites, NAKED Pizza, Bali Food TruckStreet Chef's and Food Rockets. Acts to look forward to include, Portia Luma, a Cape Town based female DJ, specialising in Afro house and has a passion for performing live, Miss Bex, a DJ from Scandavania, JAY ME House and Disco artiste, GinaJeanz (Hip-Hop/Future), Dj-Cea For-tuin (Hip-Hop)Miss BEX (Hip-Hop)TINY T (Hip-Hop)Kixi (House)Fizz & Shai-A (House). This is just to mention a few of the amazing female acts to look forward to.
