Due to an increased demand the Motor Vehicle Registration and Licensing (MVRL) Office in Goodwood, will now be accessible to Capetonians on Saturdays as well. This is in response to a request by residents. This office handles motor vehicle licence renewals, vehicle registrations and licence payments. This is a prime example of how the City of Cape Town is stepping up it's game in terms of service delivery.
The MVRL office in Bellville has seen long queues during the week and the logical approach was to offer services on Saturdays as well. Mayoral Committee Member for Finance, Alderman Ian Neilson said, " ‘The City is dedicated to making services more accessible to our residents. We are transforming how our City works to make it a more customer-centric, responsive organisation which serves all the people of Cape Town. It is important that all of our customer services become more convenient and accessible to our residents. We must continue to take service delivery to the next level and opening this office on a Saturday is an example of that in action,’
The new opening hours on Saturday will be from 0800 to 1230. You can find the MVRL office at Hugo Street, Richmond Estate, Cape Town, 7460.
